Hüseyin Öz, Deputy Chairman of the Hizmet-İş Union affiliated to HAK-IŞ Confederation, announced that he is a presidential candidate at the 14th Ordinary General Assembly of the Union. Announcing his candidacy with the program held at The Ankara Hotel, Öz asked for support from the organizations. Stating that their aim is to work and struggle to meet the expectations of all workers, Öz said, “To touch the lives of all our working brothers and all our employees; is to raise their economic level higher. We will fight, we will reach our goal together without making any concessions during this struggle.”
“WE WILL CONTINUE IMPORTANT WORKS”
Underlining that there are many different issues to be tackled, Öz said: “Significant developments have taken place all over the world. Undoubtedly, the increase in the prices of energy and basic consumer goods, high inflation and the cost of living are the leading ones among these developments. Employee wages are declining all over the world. Lack of livelihood puts more responsibilities on unions. As such, as a union, we need to direct our work accordingly. In the upcoming period, we will undertake very important works in this regard.”
