2,940 terrorists 'neutralized' in Afrin op
A total of 2,940 terrorists have been "neutralized" since the start of Operation Olive Branch in Syria's northwestern Afrin region, the Turkish General Staff said in a statement on March 7.
Turkish authorities often use the word "neutralized" in their statements to imply the militants in question either surrendered or were killed or captured.
The Turkish military launched “Operation Olive Branch” on Jan. 20 with the aim of clearing Afrin of YPG militants.
