Setting out with the slogan "If an orphan laughs, the world laughs", Alanya IHH Humanitarian Relief Association had a great time at the festival with 1,300 orphans living in Azez as part of the orphan solidarity days. Popcorn, candy floss, ice cream and food were served to orphans who had fun in the carousel, gondola, octopus, Ferris wheel and inflatable playgrounds.
“WE WANTED TO MAKE CHILDREN REMEMBER THAT THEY ARE CHILDREN”
Making a statement about the program, Alanya IHH President Adan Yavuz said, “Thousands of children orphaned in the civil war in Syria have forgotten to laugh. With the support of our benefactors, we organized a festival in Azez as part of the orphan solidarity days. We wanted to remind you that children are children. Because in this environment of war and poverty, big burdens are placed on small bodies. We were fortunate enough to see the smiles on our children's faces, even for one day. Also, we should not forget that; It's not what you have that matters, it matters with whom you share it. We share our best with our brothers and sisters here.” At the end of the program, various gifts were given to the children.
