Imam Hatip Research Center (İHAMER) was established to carry out academic studies in order to support the imam hatip model.
The 1st General Assembly of the Imam Hatip Research Center (IHAMER), which was established to carry out scientific and academic research in order to support the Imam Hatip Schools model, was held.
While Ahmet Yapıcı was appointed as the chairman, the members of the Board of Directors of 20 and the Advisory Board of 11 were determined.
A research center was established under the roof of the ÖNDER Imam Hatip Graduates Association, which has been serving Imam Hatip schools, students and graduates for 65 years.
The first general assembly of Imam Hatip Research Center (İHAMER), which completed its official establishment in April, was held at ÖNDER Headquarters.
IMAM HATIP MEMORY GATHERED
Speaking at the General Assembly, which started with the recitation of the Holy Quran by Önder Deputy Chairman Muhammet Taha Tavman, İHAMER President Ahmet Yapıcı said, "We wanted to establish this center in order to share the correct information and documents about imam hatips with the public, and to gather the work done in this field under one roof."
Noting that in the previous period, they held meetings with people and institutions working in this field and took their suggestions and they carried out an Imam Hatip Memory study, Yapıcı said, "We have a substantial amount of data on imam hatips. As a result of all these, our center was established as an association under the name of Imam Hatip Research Center. Dozens, hundreds of works will be carried out under this roof. As a result of the studies, this model will be developed and millions of young people will be raised. The work we are doing right now may seem like a small work, but I think that the step we take in the long run has value that will touch the lives of millions of young people."
“THIS BUILDING WILL GIVE DIRECTION TO IMAM HATIP STUDENTS”
Abdullah Ceylan, Chairman of ÖNDER, stated that Imam Hatip schools have reached very different points from 1951, when Celal Hodja founded.
"Today, we are working for imam hatips to provide better quality education and produce better quality works. We believe that the work that comes out of this will guide the imam hatips in terms of the continuation of our schools, the definition of new missions, and the determination of the future vision," Ceylan said.
WHAT DOES IHAMER DO?
The purpose of the Imam Hatip Research Center in the regulation; To carry out scientific and academic studies that support and develop the imam hatip schools model.
It was determined as presenting opinions, suggestions, preparing reports and presenting curriculum proposals regarding the educational content and curriculum of these schools.
The center, which will closely monitor the developments in the Turkish education system, examine its reflection on schools and prepare reports, will share its studies, analyzes and reports with both the public and the relevant authorities.
Preparing supplementary textbooks, conducting multi-dimensional and interdisciplinary research on schools, developing policies, archiving all data about imam hatips, published articles, theses, research, and books, and supporting master's and doctoral thesis studies in the field are among the goals of the center.
