Karaduman, who gave a parliamentary question to the Presidency of the Assembly with the request of the Minister of Environment and Urbanization, Murat Kurum, to answer, "Is there an investigation initiated by your ministry regarding non-recyclable imported garbage, which is one of the main causes of pollution in Adana?" he asked.

Felicity (Saadet) Party Deputy and the Chairman of the Youth Branch, Abdulkadir Karaduman, brought the issue to the agenda of the parliament because the garbage imported from many countries of Europe was left to the agricultural lands in Adana and was burned unconsciously.

Karaduman, who gave a parliamentary question to the Parliament Presidency with the request of Environment and Urban Planning Minister Murat Kurum to answer, stated that the imported garbage in question harms the environment and people and asked whether the ministry would do a study on this issue.

DOOR OPENING TO ENVIRONMENTAL DISASTER

Stating that garbage that cannot be recycled for commercial gain is brought to Adana, Karaduman, "These garbage are brought from Europe and abandoned illegally, mostly dumped on agricultural lands. Recycled garbage also needs to be disposed of in solid waste facilities. But processed garbage is also left to nature. When these illegally dumped garbage is burned for destruction, the door opens to environmental disaster. Because with the smoke of garbage, harmful substances, heavy metals and toxic gases are spreading to the whole region," he said.

ARE THERE ANY WORK OF AUTHORIZED MINISTRIES?

Karaduman directed 4 questions to Environment Minister Murat Kurum, "What is the total amount of garbage imported for recycling in the last year? Is there an investigation initiated by your ministry regarding non-recyclable imported garbage, which is one of the main causes of pollution in Adana? Has any person or organization been subject to criminal action for this pollution? How often are inspections and inspections done? In the upcoming period, what are the activities planned to be carried out in cooperation with the Ministry of Commerce and the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry or only under your ministry in order to prevent pollution caused by imported garbage in Turkey?" he asked.
