While TurkStat announced the inflation rate as 64.27 percent for 2022, the share of civil servants and retirees was disappointed.
 
The political power, which made a 54 percent increase in the minimum wage "out of the employer's pocket", did not act graciously when it came to giving raises to its own civil servants and pensioners!
 
President Erdogan, in his statement, announced the increase rate for civil servants and retirees as 25 percent.
 
The lowest civil servant salary was 11 thousand 381 liras, the civil servant pension was 7 thousand 597 liras and the lowest pension was 4 thousand 375 liras.
 

MINIMUM SSK RETIRED SALARY 4,375 TL!

 
With the announcement of the inflation data for the period of December 2022 by TURKSTAT, the inflation difference to be reflected in the salaries of civil servants and retirees became clear.
 
Accordingly, 16.48 percent of the salaries of civil servants, contracted and civil servant retirees due to the difference in collective bargaining and inflation,
 
It is stated that the pensions of "SSK" and "Bağ-Kur" retirees will increase by approximately 15.40 percent.
 

ERDOĞAN GAVE THE 'GOOD NEWS'(!)

 
President Erdogan, in his statement in the afternoon, "I would like to give the good news that we will apply the salary increase rate of our civil servants, civil servants retirees and all other retirees as 25 percent," he said.
 
With this increase, the lowest SSK pension increased from 3 thousand 500 liras to 4 thousand 375 liras, corresponding to half of the minimum wage!
 

INFLATION BASE EFFECT BRAKE!

 
The “base effect” came into play, and inflation declined statistically. While CPI increased by 1.18 percent in December 2022, D-PPI decreased by 0.24 percent.
 
Annual inflation was 64.27 percent in consumer prices and 97.72 percent in domestic producer prices.
 
On an annual basis, the highest increase was seen in housing with 79.83 percent and food and non-alcoholic beverages with 77.87 percent.
 
The main groups with the highest increase in December were health with 5.91 percent, household goods with 4.56% and housing with 2.84 percent.
