Mahmut Arslan, Chairman of Hak-İş Trade Union Confederation, visited Ekrem İmamoğlu, Mayor of Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IMM). During the visit, Arslan demanded an increase in wages and social rights for workers working in workplaces that are in the process of authorization lawsuits of their confederation member unions, which will be an advance on inflation, taking into account the changes in the economy in 2022.
“WORKERS SHOULD NOT BE PRESSED BY INFLATION”
Arslan, who wants the wages and social rights of the workers who are members of the member unions not to be crushed by inflation and to be improved by taking into account the changes in the economy, also presented his suggestions for solving the difficulties experienced in the workplaces where our member unions are organized to our confederation, especially the General Directorate of Isntabul Electric Tramway and Tunnel Establishments (IETT).

IMM Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu stated that the demands of the workers will be taken into account, and the request delivered to them will be evaluated and that they will take steps to take necessary action as soon as possible.
