Agricultural Products Producer Price Index decreased by 4.34 percent in August compared to the previous month and increased by 142.42 percent compared to the same month of the previous year.

Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK) announced the Agricultural Products Producer Price Index (Agricultural PPI) data for August.
 
Accordingly, the index in question decreased by 4.34 percent in August compared to the previous month, increased by 99.72 percent compared to December of the previous year, increased by 142.42 percent compared to the same month of the previous year and increased by 89.02 percent compared to the twelve-month averages.
 
Compared to the previous month, a 12.81 percent decrease in perennial herbal products and a 4.58 percent decrease in one-year herbal products in the main groups compared to the previous month, an increase of 1.99 percent was calculated in live animals and animal products.
 
According to the annual Agri-PPI, 8 subgroups showed lower changes and 5 subgroups showed higher changes.
 
The subgroups with low annual increase are sheep and goats, livestock with 75.12 percent, respectively; their unprocessed milk and fleece, and pome fruits and stone fruits with 77.34 percent.
 
The subgroups with the highest annual increase were determined as fibrous plants with 255.52 percent and cereals (excluding rice), legumes and oil seeds with 196.55%, respectively.
 

HIGHEST MONTHLY INCREASE IN “OTHER FARM ANIMALS”

 
The subgroups in which the decrease was higher compared to the previous month were other tree and shrub fruits and nuts with 22 percent, and pome fruits and stone fruits with 19.86 percent, respectively.
 
The subgroup with the highest monthly increase was recorded as other farm animals and animal products with 9.27 percent and live poultry and eggs with 8.8 percent.
