An intense legislative process awaits MPs in the Turkish Grand National Assembly (TBMM) this week.
This week, in the General Assembly of the Turkish Grand National Assembly, discussions will continue on the Bill on the Rental of Houses for Tourism Purposes and Amendments to Some Laws, which also includes the regulation regarding the payment of 5 thousand liras to retirees.
BUDGET MEETINGS WILL START ON 26 OCTOBER
The 12th Development Plan will be discussed at the Planning and Budget Commission on Monday, October 23 and Tuesday, October 24.
In addition, the Commission will begin discussions on the overall 2024 budget on Thursday, October 26. On Friday, October 27, the budgets of the Turkish Grand National Assembly, the Ombudsman Institution and the Court of Accounts will be discussed in the Commission.
URBAN TRANSFORMATION PROPOSAL IN PARLIAMENT
Discussions on the "Law on the Transformation of Areas at Disaster Risk and the Proposal on Making Amendments to Some Laws and the Decree Law No. 375", which includes the regulations for urban transformation submitted by the AK Party to the Presidency of the Turkish Grand National Assembly, will begin in the Public Works, Zoning, Transport and Tourism Commission.
The proposal also includes regulations regarding judicial processes regarding buildings that have been decided to be demolished in the earthquake zone.
'HALF IS ON US' CAMPAIGN ON THE AGENDA
According to the proposal, all works and transactions in urban transformations, including obtaining building permits, will be carried out based on the decision taken by the absolute majority of the owners in proportion to their shares.
In order to implement the "half is on us" campaign launched to accelerate the transformation in Istanbul, the law will be amended to provide financial assistance to the rights holders for construction.
In addition, the Immigration and Integration Sub-Committee of the Turkish Grand National Assembly Human Rights Investigation Commission will meet this week. Group meetings of the political parties that have groups in the Parliament will be held on Tuesday and Wednesday.
