International agreements published in the Official Gazette

9 international agreements approved by President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan were published in the Official Gazette.

The agreement aims to support the competitive international aviation system among airlines and mutual relations in the field of civil aviation, thereby promoting the development of international aviation services. The decision on the approval of the "Trade and Economic Cooperation Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Turkey and the Government of the Republic of South Sudan", signed in Ankara on April 26, 2017, was published in the Official Gazette. According to the agreement, with the determination to develop friendly relations and strengthen cooperation between the two countries, the parties undertake to promote and facilitate commercial and economic cooperation between their countries by taking appropriate measures in accordance with their domestic laws and international agreements, conventions and agreements to which they are parties.
 

COOPERATION WITHIN THE FRAMEWORK OF DOMESTIC LAW AND LEGISLATION 

 
“Security Between the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Turkey and the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Ecuador” signed in Kito on February 4, 2016. The approval of the Cooperation Agreement was also published in the Official Gazette. The agreement is in accordance with the applicable national legislation of the parties in the fight against cross-border crimes, especially terrorist organization, organized crime, human trafficking, narcotic drugs, psychotropic substances and their precursors, money laundering and terrorist financing, international agreements to which they are a part, and henceforth the agreement includes collaboration. The approval of the "Memorandum of Understanding between the Government of the Republic of Turkey and the Government of North Macedonia on Cooperation in the Field of Water", signed in Ankara on January 20, 2021, was published in the Official Gazette. According to the memorandum of understanding, in the light of integrated water resources management relations for the protection, development and management of water resources, the parties will cooperate within the framework of their domestic laws and regulations, on the basis of equality, reciprocity and mutual benefit, through the sharing of knowledge, experience and technology. 
 

SOLID FOUNDATIONS WILL BE LAYED 

 
Signed in Antalya on June 18, 2021, the decision on the approval of the Agreement on Cooperation in the Field of Sustainable Forest Management between the Government of the Republic of Turkey and the Government of the Republic of Congo was published in the Official Gazette. Within the scope of the agreement, the parties will cooperate on the basis of equality, reciprocity and mutual benefit, through the sharing of knowledge, experience and technology, based on national legislation, for the protection and rehabilitation of forests. The decision on the approval of the "Agreement on Cultural Cooperation between the Government of the Republic of Turkey and the Council of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic" signed in Ankara on June 9, 2021 was published in the Official Gazette. According to the agreement, the parties, including intangible and tangible cultural heritage, literature, fine arts, performing arts, audio-visual media design as well as cultural and industries and auxiliary talents, in order to expand the scope of each other's knowledge of culture and arts and strengthen relations between the two states, will lay a solid foundation for cooperation with each other in cultural fields.
 

AIM TO STRENGTHEN COOPERATION 

 
The decision regarding the approval of the “Protocol on Cooperation in the Fields of Media and Communication between the Government of the Republic of Turkey and the Government of the Republic of Senegal” signed in Dakar on February 21, 2022, was published in the Official Gazette. The protocol, which aims to increase friendly relations between the two countries and to cooperate in the field of media and communication, will support consultation and cooperation between the Presidency of Communications of the Republic of Turkey and the Culture and Communications Directorate of the Republic of Senegal.
