Conscientious organizations should come together and ensure that the world public opinion takes action. We should spread this call everywhere," he said.
Memur-Sen organized a march for the 8 March International Women's Day in order to draw attention to the drama experienced by women in the Syrian dungeons.
Hundreds of women cried out for the freedom of women in Syria. A large number of women and members of the board of directors, members of the women's commission, and members of the unions affiliated to Memur-Sen were included in the program.
Syrian women are subjected to inhumane treatment, said Yalçın, calling for international organizations. Yalcin, "We are calling on the United Nations, the Organization of Islamic Cooperation. If you are not going to stand up today and face the dangers of human dignity in Syria, when will you not oppose it? Human dignity is no more trampling. Conscientious organizations should come together and ensure that the world public opinion takes action. We must spread this call everywhere," he said.
Speaking in the press release after the march, Memur-Sen Chairman Ali Yalçın said that the persecution of Syrian women should not be kept silent on 8 March International Women's Day.
Yalçın pointed out that women and children were the most victims of the war and said, "It is not time to spend the day by setting up fancy sentences about women, making a promise of pride, but it is time to change the fortune of the women who remain imprisoned in the prison. The world is worth living if there is hope. Our friends come here to refresh the hope," he added.
