Contractors responded by saying that they "import" by specifying that they can not cope with the iron prices raised by 50 percent in a month, while iron producers say that it would return to "normal" in a short time. The living "iron" crisis brought the stalls to a stopping point.

SOLUTION TO BE SEARCHED IN "IMPORT"

After the referendum, the contractors say that the industry is at a standstill with increasing iron prices, while waiting for the sector to open up. Contractors who say they can not make any sense of the increase in the price of iron in the event of a dollar depreciation, indicate that they will simultaneously suspend construction in Turkey if the import route is not opened until 9 June.

WHY PRICES INCREASED SUDDENLY?

The ambiguity that preceded the referendum led to many construction firms waiting for new project launches, as well as slowing down housing demand. Thus, the construction mining orders to the minimum level caused iron producers who did not want to suffer damage due to high inventory costs to cut down on production the least. There has been a rapid increase in demand for iron in the last few months as consumers have turned to buying housing and the construction companies have implemented new projects. Iron demand in the market, the prices of manufacturers increased in excess of the prices.

"CUSTOM TAX TO BE LOWED"

Economy Minister Nihat Zeybekci said that they will drop the Customs Duties applied to the import of construction debris and that the decision of the Cabinet of Ministers sent to sign will be issued by the end of the week. In the end, an issue will be resolved by importing (!).

The rising iron price in Turkey affected the contractors negatively in Şanlıurfa. Although the dollar fell, the rise in iron prices brought the construction industry to a halt. The builders, who had been on the black market for some time, said they were unable to do business.

Many construction works continue in Karaköprü District, and there is no iron in the works, so work was interrupted by the contractors. Şanlıurfa Contractors' Union President Mustafa Önal stated that they could not make a meaning to the price increase in Demir and that thousands of workers were unemployed.

THE SECTOR STAYED STILL WHILE EXPECTED TO MOVE

"We were expecting a leap in the sector after the referendum, but with the rising iron prices, the construction sector has come to a standstill. What has changed in Turkey that iron prices so suddenly increased one by one? When we look at the dollar, we see that the dollar rises when the dollar rises, but when the dollar falls, there is an increase of nearly 100 percent in the price of iron. This has brought the construction industry to a halt. Until June 9, some things were said about the removal of a veggie in imports. If there is no regulation on this price of iron until the 9th of moon, we decided to stop construction all over Turkey simultaneously. If these conditions do not improve as of now, the construction sector is finished and collapses. "
