The General Communiqué of the Tax Procedure Law of the Ministry of Treasury and Finance (Revenue Administration) was published in the Official Gazette.
Accordingly, the revaluation rate was determined according to the domestic producer inflation in October 2019.
In this context, taxes, fees and fines increased by 22.58 percent.
Accordingly, 1-year passport fee increased from 248,40 TL to 304,50 TL, title deed fee from 288 TL to 353 TL, driving license fee from 613 TL to 751 TL, the penalty for not wearing a seat belt is 108 TL 132 TL, using the mobile phone in the course of driving and passing the red light from 235 TL to 288 TL.
Meanwhile, the revaluation rate to be applied in the Motor Vehicle Tax (MTV) in 2020 was revised to 12 percent.
The President's decision on the issue was published in the Official Gazette.
Accordingly, the valuation rate determined for 2019 was re-determined as 12 percent to be applied to MTV amounts in 2020 based on the authorization granted by the Motor Vehicles Tax Law no. 197. The decision will enter into force on 1 January 2020.
While the state raises a high rate of income tax, fees and penalties, the salaries of civil servants and workers increase only as much as inflation.
In 2020, it was decided to raise 4+4 percent of civil servant salaries. If inflation exceeds this figure, an inflation difference will be added.
