Condolence messages are being published from all over the world for His Excellency Mahmud Effendi, who received God’s mercy at the age of 93.
Islamic Resistance Movement (HAMAS) was at the forefront of the organizations that issued a condolence message for His Holiness Mahmud Effendi, whose death shocked the entire Islamic geography. In the statement made by HAMAS, “As the HAMAS Movement, we offer our condolences and wish mercy on the death of the valuable scholar and teacher Mahmud Ustaosmanoğlu, who devoted his life to science and guidance. We commemorate him with his close stance to the problems of the Islamic Ummah, especially the Palestinian cause,” the statement said.
In the statement made by the Muslim Brotherhood Movement, it was stated that they were in mourning for the death of His Holiness. In the statement in question, “As the Muslim Brotherhood Organization (Ihvan-i Muslimin), we are in mourning for the death of this great man of the cause. We offer our sincere condolences to the people and government of Turkey,” the statement said.

Abdul Qahar Balkhi, Spokesman of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan: “It is with great sadness that we learn that Sheikh Mahmud Effendi, the great scholar of the Islamic world, the great preacher, educator and teacher of millions of people, passed away. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan considers the death of this great scholar an irreparable loss.”
Delegation of Iraqi Muslim Scholars said “Although we consent to Almighty Allah's decree and power; The death of Mahmud Effendi, one of Turkey's great scholars, shocked the delegation of Iraqi Muslim scholars. May Almighty Allah have mercy on him and make his knowledge and invitation a witness to him and the way that leads to Paradise.”
Mahmoud Esad Al Madani, President of the Indian Scholars Association said: “On behalf of the Indian Scholars Association, we convey our condolences to the Turkish people by sharing their sadness. We hope that his work and contributions to Islam will inspire his relatives, students and family.”
Former Prime Minister of Pakistan Imran Khan said: “I was deeply saddened when I learned of the death of Sheikh Mahmud Effendi from Turkey. It has revived religious sensibilities and sunnah in extremely difficult circumstances and has affected millions of people around the world. His death is a great loss for the Ummah.”
Mavlana Fazl-ur Rahman, Chairman of the Islamic Jamaat-e-Ulema of Pakistan said: “The death of Sheikh Mahmud Effendi is an irreparable loss for Turkey in particular and for the Islamic world in general. The spirit of Naqshbandi was revived in Turkey with him. The Sheikh's devotion to Islam set an example. I offer my condolences.”
