While editing the diaries I recorded under the title of "Vaktüzre", I saw that Afghanistan was emphasized on one occasion, which belongs to a day in September (1981). More precisely, while I was in Eskişehir, I met a person from Afghanistan and wrote my impressions about him.
It can be said that Afghanistan gained attention in our art and literature circles because of the struggle or uprising started in 1979 when the Soviet Union and Babrak Karmal, supported by it, came to power. It can be said that especially the "Afghanistan Special Issue" of Mavera magazine and Cahit Zarifoğlu's review and publication of the letters sent to him by a woman caused the public to pay attention to Afghanistan and the events going on there.
On the other hand, the September 12 coup d'état in Turkey and the effect of the troubled and suffocating atmosphere it brought, in a way fed the coups, power struggles and Soviet occupation in Afghanistan. Finally, as a result of the struggle against the Soviet occupation and the powers supported by it, it seemed like a new phase was entered in Afghanistan. However, the assassinations of Ahmet Shah Mesut and Burhanettin Rabbani, the emergence of a new actor named "Taliban", the seizure of power, their practices, their overthrow and re-establishment of dominance, Afghanistan's own internal variables and dynamics caused a complex ball of problems. shows that it is knitted.
In terms of its geographical location, Afghanistan, especially the imperialist states and powers, have given special importance. For example, at the beginning of the 20th century, Britain had designed Afghanistan as a watchtower so that the two pillars of its imperialist policy, the governorates of India and Egypt, would not be cut off. In front of this fiction, the uprising in Afghanistan and the National Struggle in Anatolia will result in its disintegration beyond a barrier. Although it contained different demands, Afghanistan had a special meaning for the Soviet Union, but the uprising of the Mujahideen would lead to the disintegration of the Soviet. The USA, which seems to have inherited the policy of the British Empire in a sense, seems to have faced a similar fate. (The article by Yıldıray Oğur, published in the newspaper Decision, contains useful summary information on this subject.)
In the process of balance and regulation, which could not be realized, there are signs that point to the beginning of the re-establishment phase of the organization called the Taliban in Afghanistan. It is emphasized by emphasizing that there is a perception that the organization in question is a "madrasah"-centered formation and that it represents the visibility of Islam. Here, some presuppositions and prejudices, comments and evaluations based on them are made in a widespread manner. However, it should be stated firstly and persistently that there are some concepts and institutions that are the source of the main problems. For example, the meaning attributed to the concept and institution of "madrasah" is one of them. Just like "Taliban". There is a presumption of perception that these concepts or idioms are inherently inherent in the essence of religion and certainly contain them. If the historical processes of the rules and institutions are not taken into account and the variability of time is not taken into account, and if a sacred is attributed to them, those rules and institutions can turn into obstacles in front of the society in the mind, spirit and society of the person, and they can create a source of threat and danger like a blind well.
