An Arab member of the Knesset (Israel’s parliament) on Wednesday accused Israel of “collaborating” with Daesh and even purchasing oil from the notorious terrorist group.

According to Israeli daily Yedioth Ahronoth, Knesset member Aida Touma-Suleiman made the assertion -- which, she said, were based on UN documents -- during a Monday session of the Knesset.

The newspaper quoted the lawmaker as saying that the UN had documented evidence of the Israeli government's collaboration with terrorist groups.

“These links have been well documented, with reports surfacing of oil purchases from the Islamic State [i.e., Daesh], which the Israeli government headed by [Prime Minister] Benjamin Netanyahu has done,” Touma-Suleiman was quoted as saying.

The lawmaker was not available to respond to Anadolu Agency’s requests for comment.
