During his speech in a police ceremony held in Gaza, al-Haya added that Hamas would not allow the Israeli Occupation to use the Palestinian suffering as a pawn in its April elections.
Al-Haya noted that the Great Return March protests would continue until the Palestinian people restore their rights and achieve their demands.
General elections
Al-Haya reiterated Hamas’ preparedness to hold general elections for all national institutions, including the Palestinian Legislative Council and the National Council.
“Holding the general elections will help restructure the Palestinian House based on democracy,” al-Haya added.
Al-Haya noted that the Palestinian situation required restoring the national unity and healing the internal division.
Normalisation with Israeli Occupation
Regarding the wave of normalising ties with the Israeli Occupation, al-Haya called on the Arab nations to stop normalisation with the Israeli Occupation, noting that any rapprochement with the Israeli Occupation would be a stab in the back of the Palestinian people and their holy sites, above all Al-Aqsa Mosque.
Al-Haya reaffirmed that the Israeli Occupation is the arch foe of the Arab and Islamic states, adding that the region would not enjoy calm and stability as long as Palestine is occupied.
‘Deal of Century’
Al-Haya confirmed that the “Deal of the Century” does not target the Palestinian cause only but also all the Arab nations.
The Hamas official added that the “Deal of the Century” is aimed at abolishing the Palestinians’ right to their holy sites through settlement expansion and ethnic cleansing in addition to liquidating the Palestinian refugee issue by cutting all aid to UNRWA.
Al-Haya confirmed that the 12-year Israeli siege on Gaza and the PA’s sanctions on the Palestinian people in the besieged enclave came as part of series of steps aimed at undermining the steadfastness of the Palestinian people, who are determined to resist the occupation and thwart the “Deal of the Century”.
Concerning the violent Israeli crackdown on the Palestinian detainees in the Israeli jails, al-Haya said that the Israeli aggressive measures against them came as part of the Israeli electoral contest.
