Israeli police on Tuesday recommended that Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu be indicted in corruption cases, local media reported.
According to a report published on the daily Yedioth Ahronoth’s website, the police have gathered sufficient evidence to charge Netanyahu in the two cases, known as "File 1000" and "File 2000".
The report pointed out the police informed Netanyahu's lawyers, that they recommended an indictment against him in "bribery and dishonesty" cases.
There was no official statement until 1830 GMT from the Israeli police regarding the matter.
For more than a year, Israeli police have investigated the Israeli prime minister and some of his associates over corruption charges.
