Israeli forces shot dead two Palestinians during clashes in Israel-occupied West Bank early Wednesday, according to the Palestinian health ministry.
The ministry identified the two slain Palestinians as Saad Salah, 20, and Awos Salam, 17, from the Jenin refugee camp in the northern West Bank.
"Three other Palestinians were injured by Israeli gunfire," the ministry added in a statement.
The Israeli military, for its part, claimed its forces came under fire during a raid inside the refugee camp.
“The forces responded to the threat and shot towards the attackers,” it said.
According to the army, 21 Palestinians were detained across the West Bank for stone throwing and violent protests.
