Speaking at the promotion program held at the Haliç Congress Center, Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu, "Now Istanbul has an investment agency. We will plan first. We will look strategically. We will make decisions together with data and analysis. We will listen to the voice of everyone in the industry," he said.
Istanbul Investment Agency (IYA) was promoted by Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality. Istanbul Metropolitan Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu, Felicity (Saadet) Party Vice President Mustafa Kaya, GOOD (İyi) Party Istanbul Provincial Chairman Buğra Kavuncu, local and foreign financial institutions, investment, technology, tourism and representatives from different sectors, foreign country diplomats and journalists showed intense participation.
Explaining the reason for the establishment of İYA, Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu said that Istanbul is the largest and most crowded city of the entire European continent. It is our main task to mobilize all kinds of resources for the economy of this city. We need to raise the total quality of life for 16 million, create more production, more investment and more employment. For this, we need more and more international financing and investors.
"Each of the key cities such as London, New York, Paris, Amsterdam, Tokyo, Sydney, Milan is working hard with investment and promotion agencies to attract talented minds and entrepreneurial classes. We set out by taking lessons from our history and by using the experiences of these metropolises. At İYA, we want to focus on the countries and cities in the profile of our important commercial partner for the development of this city. We will plan first. We will look strategically. We will understand global competition correctly. We will make decisions together with data and analysis. We will listen to the voice of everyone in the industry. With a common mind, we will organize long-term decisions," Istanbul Mayor said.
