Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (İBB) continued its stationery set distribution service for primary, secondary and high school students, which it started 4 years ago.
İBB Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu, who started the stationery set distribution for the 2023-2024 academic year from Avcılar Ali Karaay Secondary School, gave a short speech to the students who filled the school garden.
İBB, which initiated the "School Nutrition Support Project" in over 100 schools in 39 districts across Istanbul, continued to distribute stationery sets to primary, secondary and high school students this year, as it does every year.
Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu started the distribution of stationery sets for the 2023-2024 academic year from Avcılar Ali Karaay Secondary School. İmamoğlu, who was welcomed with enthusiasm by the students, made a short speech.

İmamoğlu, who congratulated the students, teachers and parents on the new academic year, said the following in summary:
"We consider it our duty to always support and contribute to the educational processes of our children and young people. We will distribute stationery to various schools in Istanbul and to schools deemed appropriate by our Directorate of National Education. We have a lot of support for our youth. We have a lot of support for our children. We have libraries; Be sure to stop by. The energy is amazing from here. I hope we will be worthy. Let's find answers to a few questions with you. Dear children; We love our country very much, don't we? We love our flag very much. We love everyone living in this country. So we love our nation very much. You know; This year is the centenary of our Republic. We love our republic very much, don't we? We love our Ataturk very much. Do you know what republic means? Republic means being equal. Republic means ensuring that everyone can study in good schools. The Republic means that many mayors will come to Istanbul from among you in the future."
STATIONERY SUPPORT TO THE EARTHQUAKE AREA
The sets will be distributed to 1st, 5th and 9th graders who have just started their primary, secondary and high school education; It will be delivered to a total of 109 schools, 47 of which are primary schools, 35 secondary schools and 27 high schools. Within the scope of the project that started in 2019, stationery support was provided to 21 thousand 169 students. Although there was a break in 2020 due to the pandemic, this number was increased to 29 thousand 235 in 2021. Providing support to 22 thousand 78 students in 2022, İBB will provide stationery support to 40 thousand students this year. Reaching 1,038 students in the provinces hit by the February 6 earthquakes, İBB will have supported a total of 113,520 students since 2019.
