The police chief in Istanbul's Silivri district, Hakan Çalışkan, was found dead in his office on July 31, Doğan News Agency has reported.
Initial findings revealed that Çalışkan died due to a gunshot wound to his head.
The cause of his death was not immediately clear and an investigation is ongoing.
