The winds of "normalization" blowing between Ankara and Tel Aviv after the visit of President of the occupying Israeli regime, Herzog to Turkey, brought to mind the fatwa of the "World Union of Muslim Scholars" that "normalization with Israel is haram".
The "normalization" process between Turkey and the Israeli regime came to a head with the visit of the occupation regime leader Herzog to our country.
While the "normalization" between Ankara and Tel Aviv caused reactions in the Islamic geography, a fatwa issued by the World Union of Muslim Scholars in recent years came to mind.
Muslim scholars, who made a statement in 2020 about the normalization relationship between Islamic countries and the Israeli regime, announced that making peace and normalization with Israel is haram.
“IT IS A MAJOR CRIME ACCORDING TO THE ISLAMIC SHARIA”
The World Union of Muslim Scholars, headquartered in Doha, the capital of Qatar, issued a fatwa signed by more than 200 scholars, following the meeting held via video conference under the title "Declaration from Muslim scholars".
"All agreements with Israel in the name of peace and normalization are haram, void according to Islamic Sharia and a major crime; It is a betrayal of the rights of Allah and His Messenger, the Palestinian people and the Islamic Ummah," the fatwa said.
It was stated that the agreement reached between some Arab countries and Israel could not be seen as a step towards peace, on the contrary, it meant giving up the most sacred and fertile lands.
“IT MEANS TO CONSIDER THE CRIMES OF ISRAEL AS LEGITIMATE”
In the text, which stated that normalization with Israel means "to see the enemy of the invader and his haram crimes as legitimate", it was noted that the agreement also gave the enemy the opportunity to occupy the whole of Palestine and establish hegemony over the Middle East, especially the Gulf countries.
In the text, which was condemned by some scholars and fatwa institutions to congratulate the normalization agreement, it was stated that it was regrettable that they went beyond the rules of Islamic law in order to satisfy the rulers.
It was also emphasized in the text that the Palestinian cause is not just a political issue, and that Masjid al-Aqsa, one of the three holy mosques according to Islam, is within the scope of this Palestinian cause.
