International Youth Forum (IYFO) held its 2nd ‘Meeting with the Ummah Youth’ program with the youth representatives of African countries. Expressing that they met with the youth representatives of Asian countries the previous week, IYFO President Yılmaz Balçın said that they will meet with youth representatives from Balkans, Central Asia, Middle East and Europe within the scope of youth work.
“WE WILL ENSURE ACTION UNITY BETWEEN YOUTH”
Reminding that IYFO was founded in 2005 by Prof. Dr. Necmettin Erbakan, Balçın said, “The main purpose of this organization is to provide cultural cooperation among Muslim youth in the world and to ensure coordination between institutions. In this context, we aim to realize the goal of Islamic Union of the Ummah and to ensure the unity of understanding and action among the youth of the Ummah. Of course, in this process, our coming together will increase.”
“WE SEE OUR YOUTH AS VOLUNTEER AMBASSADORS TO TURKEY”
Stating that they wanted to convey Milli Gorus movement and the ideas and ideals of our teacher Erbakan to our students studying in Turkey, Balçın said, “We see our international students as volunteer ambassadors of Turkey. We aim to explain Turkish politics and the Islamic movement work of our teacher Erbakan to our youth in the best way possible. We aim to convey the ideal of a New World, the world of felicity project. We need to cooperate with youth organizations to embrace the cause of Jerusalem and Palestine. At this point, as the youth of the 2 billion Islamic world, we have to work together for the future of the ummah.”
“WE MUST EDUCATE OURSELVES IN THE BEST WAY POSSIBLE”
Balçın underlined that blood and tears are dominant in Islamic countries and said: “Cultural imperialism has taken us captive in the regions we live in. We must protect our identity and we must raise ourselves well. This is our responsibility to the regions where we were born. As the youth of the ummah, this responsibility rests on our shoulders. For that reason each of all of us must be an Erbakan, a Hasan al-Banna, a Morsi, a Maududi, a Sheikh Ahmed Yasin. These young people will be the hope of the Ummah.”
