In the statement, it was stated that the prisoners in question were put in solitary cells by the prison administration after they started the hunger strike.
MALAYSIA AND BRUNEI CALL ON TO STOP "HEINOUS CRIMES" IN PALESTINE
On the other hand, Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim and Brunei Dar es Salaam Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu'izzaddin Waddaulah called on the UN Security Council (UNSC) and the international community to demand that the occupying power stop the "heinous crimes" in Palestine.
The two leaders reiterated their joint commitment to strengthen relations. Ibrahim and Waddaulah shared their concerns about the ongoing violence in Myanmar and emphasized that they will work closely with the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) and the United Nations (UN) to find a peaceful and lasting solution to the Myanmar people against the army that took over the country with a military coup.
The two leaders called on the UNSC and the international community to demand that the "occupying power" stop its "heinous crimes" and "apartheid policies" against the Palestinians in order to end the occupation in Palestine and establish a comprehensive and lasting peace in the Middle East.
