During the visit, which lasted approximately two hours, ideas were exchanged on the prominent topics of the agenda. The duo, who went in front of the cameras after the meeting, reacted to the transfer of the Jamal Khashoggi case to Saudi Arabia.
KARAMOLLAOĞLU: “NOT COMPATIBLE WITH STATE SERIOUSNESS”
Karamollaoğlu noted that it is unacceptable that the case, which was killed in the Saudi Arabian Consulate in Istanbul and has been going on since 2018, is closed and transferred to Saudi Arabia. Karamollaoğlu said, “This decision shows how the government can zigzag right away. It is incompatible with the seriousness of the state to ignore the legal consequences of a murder committed in Turkey and take steps according to the political consequences.”
UYSAL: "UNACCEPTABLE"
Democratic Party leader Uysal also reacted harshly to the decision. Uysal said, “We are faced with an understanding that destroys justice in order to maintain power. We are faced with a power mechanism that can thwart justice for a few billion dollars. This is never acceptable.”
