More than 2 million EYT members have been entitled to retire with the Regulation of Retirement Age Victims (EYT).
Employees who started their business life after 8 September 1999 by entering the Social Security Institution (SGK) are also calling for a regulation to be made for them.
Mihriban Uğurlu, President of the Association for Justice in Retirement (EMADDER), who made statements about the employees who received SGK entry after 1999, stated that they are not against the EYT regulation.
Together with EYT, she called for closing the gap in retirement years and ensuring justice in retirement.
More than 2 million citizens who had insurance before September 8, 1999, became entitled to retire with the regulation of Retirement Age Victims (EYT).
A call for regulation came from the citizens who started to work after 1999 but suffered from the law change in 1999.
Mihriban Uğurlu, President of the Association for Justice in Retirement (EMADDER), stated that justice should be provided in retirement.
“NO CHOICE OTHER THAN TO ACCEPT”
Stating that there is a difference of 17 years for men and 20 years for women in order to retire with the date determined with the EYT regulation, Uğurlu stated that the regulation should become more fair and equal.
"In the pension system, the working time and the premium paid should be taken into account rather than the date of employment. The fact that two peers, friends or siblings, who are subject to equal citizenship rights of the same country, will start their retirement life in very different conditions from each other, disturbs the conscience. In working life, there is no unregistered work request based on the request, and there is an obligation to be registered in the SGK system. Employees who started to work after 08.09.99 do not have a choice other than to accept the law in force," she said.
16.5 MILLION VICTIMS WITH THE EYT REGULATION
Stating that the work peace will be disturbed against this difference between two employees working at the same workplace, Uğurlu stated that 16.5 million citizens are victimized with their families.
"This unfair arrangement needs to be reconsidered with the introduction of a tiered or equivalent system. However, it is thought that EYT was victimized with a date, but with the EYT regulation, it took its place in history as a regulation that victimized 16.5 million people," she added.
NEW AGE RECOMMENDATIONS IN PENSION
Stating that there are age limit suggestions against victimization as an association, Uğurlu listed her suggestions regarding the age requirement as follows:
"September 99-2002 women recruited 43, men 45, 2003 recruited women 44, men 46, 2004 recruited women 45, men 47, 2005 recruited women 46, men 48, 2006 recruited women 47, men 49, Women who were hired in 2007 should retire at the age of 48, men 50, women who were hired in 2008 49, men 51, and women who started after 2009 50 and men 52 years old."
