Felicity (Saadet) Party Deputy Abdulkadir Karaduman brought the recent increase in police suicides to the agenda of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey.
Speaking at the General Assembly of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey, Karaduman drew attention to the professional burnout syndrome due to the unfavorable working conditions of the police.
"Our cops are screaming. They leave behind suicidal messages. They say we do not have a social life, we are under heavy pressure, we are exposed to mobbing. However, no steps are taken to improve working conditions. Unfortunately, we are following the news of police suicide, which has increased recently. The reasons for these suicides should be revealed urgently. Instead of wasting time with polemics, the authorities should deal with the grievances of our police officers, whose lives have been rendered unlivable. The working conditions of our police should be improved as soon as possible, and the practices that turn into pressure and mobbing should be removed immediately," Karaduman said.
