Karamollaoğlu: "No tax should be cut from the minimum wage"

Turkey's Felicity (Saadet) Party leader Temel Karamollaoğlu, at the weekly press conference, mentioned the minimum wage determination process that will start on Friday.

Sharing his views on the minimum wage determination process for 2021, the first meeting of which will be held next Friday, Karamollaoğlu noted that the minimum wage is under the hunger line, and that such a thing is unacceptable.
 

THE TARGET MUST BE THE POVERTY LINE

 
Karamollaoğlu pointed out that not only the minimum wage is below the hunger limit, but also the tax burden oppresses the citizen, and therefore, tax exemption should be applied to the minimum wage. Stating that the minimum wage should be determined with an understanding that will provide the employee's livelihood easily, Karamollaoğlu said, “The target in the minimum wage should be the poverty line. Yes, this does not happen all at once, but steps must be taken according to this goal. Apart from such an understanding, determining the minimum wage is cruelty to the employee.”
 
Speaking at the weekly regular press conference at the headquarters of his party, Saadet Party leader Temel Karamollaoğlu made important evaluations about the prominent topics of the agenda.
 
* Referring to the report prepared by his party on the issue, Karamollaoğlu noted that they saw that the employment problem was the primary problem experienced by the disabled. Stating that the private sector should be encouraged in this sense, Karamollaoğlu stated that the quota in the public sector should also be increased.
 
Speaking at the press conference about the problems experienced by the disabled in our country on the occasion of December 3, World Disability Day, Karamollaoğlu said, “One of the biggest indicators of the development level of a country is the opportunities it offers to its citizens with disabilities. 
 
"It is one of the most important duties of governments to lead disabled citizens a life without disabilities."
 

DISABLED EMPLOYMENT SHOULD INCREASE

 
Referring to the report prepared by their parties on the subject, Karamollaoğlu noted that they saw that the problem of employment was the primary problem experienced by the disabled. Stating that the private sector should be encouraged in this sense, Karamollaoğlu stated that the quota in the public sector should also be increased.
 
Hiding the figures will not benefit anyone
 
Speaking about the measures taken against the Kovid-19 pandemic, Karamollaoğlu said, “Since the numbers have been hidden so far, it seems like there is a big increase now. This epidemic is happening not only in us but all over the world. However, not being transparent in numbers will not benefit anyone ”. Noting that the measures taken are correct, but they should be taken into consideration in economic problems, Karamollaoğlu said, “Many business lines have come to the point of bankruptcy. How will your losses be compensated? The government should get rid of the state of not knowing what to do about it. They need to think. Decisions taken without thinking will bring more harm than good.”
 
"We highly condemn assassinations"
 
Referring to the assassinations of scientists and politicians in Iran at the end of the press conference, Karamollaoğlu said, “We strongly condemn the assassinations. These assassinations are a great betrayal of a state. We do not know who is under this. There are claims and these claims are very dire. For this reason, I think that there should be a consensus in the international field as soon as possible for the facts to be revealed.”
