Saadet Party Chairman Temel Karamollaoğlu made important evaluations on the agenda at the weekly regular press conference.
Underlining that today is a historical day, Karamollaoğlu reminded that 8 Islamic countries came together and established the D-8 25 years ago.
Karamollaoğlu said that although a quarter of a century has passed since the establishment of the D-8, the D-8 principles have the same vitality and importance.
"The D-8s articulated six principles. What are these; not war, peace. Dialogue, not conflict. Not a double standard, but justice. Equality, not superiority. Not exploitation but just order. Not oppression and domination, but human rights, freedom and democracy… Our world is unfortunately dragged into chaos today. We are being pushed towards an almost all-out war. Therefore, we should have increased the number of countries that adopted the principles of the D-8 today. We would like D-8s to reach D-18 or higher numbers. But unfortunately, the Erdogan government has not even moved a finger for the D-8s from its 19-year rule. They served as president for two terms, but they did not take any steps to implement the D-8s," Karamollaoğlu said.
“THE MANDATORY REASON IS THE AK PARTY POWER AND THE ESTABLISHED SYSTEM”
Emphasizing that Erdogan has all the authority and that the Council of Ministers and the Parliament have no merit, Karamollaoğlu continued his speech as follows:
"There has never been a higher authority than this in dictatorships, kingdoms, and sultanates! There were institutions with a well-established system then, but they do not exist today; No one can question the President's decisions! That's why we don't get rid of trouble today. Although Erdogan tries to explain his failures in the economy by saying 'Mandatory reason', we all know that this is not the case. While 'Mandatory reason' affects other countries with a severity of 1, why is it experienced at a severity of 10 in our country? Why is inflation at the highest 6-7 percent in the USA and European countries, while it does not exceed 20 percent even in countries with war and crisis; In our case, this rate exceeded 60-70 percent and reached three-digit numbers? 'Mandatory reason'; AK Party government and the established system. It is impossible to explain it any other way! A one-man system and one person making decisions on everything is the biggest problem we have at the moment."
“EVEN ACCORDING TO TURKSTAT FIGURES, THE GOVERNMENT FAILED”
Karamollaoğlu, who stated that according to all statistics, the government is failed.
"And it is our nation that suffers, not the government, we suffer, everyone living in this country suffers. Personally, I say, I don't care if the government suffers these troubles... We say, 'The one who falls does not cry'. But it is not so! Due to the decisions they have taken, our country is facing these difficulties today. Even the fact that we have to use the preposition 'even' is embarrassing for the power. If state institutions are like this, the government will not be able to make the right decision! Because they don't see the truth, they even try not to see it. According to TURKSTAT; The Consumer Confidence Index, which fell to 67 percent, is at its lowest level since 2004 when it was calculated. According to the data of the 'Income and Living Conditions Survey' of 2021; While the 20% with the highest income receives 47% of the total income, the share of the 20% with the lowest income is 6%! The debt ratio is also constantly increasing, with 7 out of 10 people having difficulty paying their debts. 60 percent of households account for 'a week's vacation away from home', 38 per cent for 'meal with meat, chicken or fish every other day', 20 per cent for 'heating the house', and 63 per cent for renovating old furniture.
