Saadet Party leader Temel Karamollaoğlu made important statements regarding the agenda at the weekly press conference. Karamollaoğlu advised Şentop who re-elected as speaker of Turkey's National Assembly to take care to keep an equal distance to all political parties in the Parliament.
Mentioning the explosion at the fireworks factory in the district of Sakarya Hendek, Karamollaoğlu stated that the necessary measures were not taken in the factory along with the explosion, “Explosions have also occurred in the past. These explosions upset us. Apparently, no measures were taken. This time, 6 people died after the explosion. This is completely a sign of heedlessness, indifference and uncontrolled. The funny thing is, they make those who make the mistake have it checked again. Then there is no way for us to correct this trend. We do not want anyone to be punished. But measures about people cannot be neglected. If they are neglected, they have to serve their sentences so that others do not commit the same mistake. At this point, we remain very idle. We hope that the government will conduct the examinations here meticulously.”
Evaluating the controversial photograph shared by Anadolu Agency about Hasankeyf, Karamollaoğlu said: “That photograph left us in amazement. As it is known, a historical texture was flooded. It was flooded because it was needed. In some cases, places where historical artifacts are located can be under water. But with the precautions taken, historical artifacts should be preserved and the environment should be arranged taking these issues into consideration. But when we saw the photo we were amazed, we said, 'What is this photo?' There are concrete structures around the water. Fear God, you are referring to a time when concrete was never used. It would be right to give the AK Party a medal at this point. Because they peaked in any case in concreting. They wrote a saga as to how a country and the environment are condemned to concrete. But these friends please give up this mentality.”
Referring to the law proposal related to the bar associations, Karamollaoğlu said, “Multiple bar associations are a step that will bring the most dangerous consequences that this government tries to carry and carry polarization to the justice mechanism. Justice cannot stand with polarization. Justice is not provided by polarization. Polarization is the vengeance. Justice cannot handle such a thing. Because after that, an atmosphere will emerge as if there are pro-power bars and anti-power bars. Multiple bar associations means the entirety of partisanship in justice. Where will the people go, how will they seek a solution? Now the pro-ruling bar associations will be born.”
"LISTEN TO WHAT YOU SAID 18 YEARS AGO"
Evaluating the discussions regarding the penalty given to TV channels and the closure of social media, Karamollaoğlu said: “I invite the President to think. We understood that you left us, took off the National Vision shirt. But remember what you said when you put on your new shirt in 2002. Then you were talking about justice, injustice, cruelty. You said that such a country cannot be managed. The opposition also has a right, you said you should also allow them. Therefore, you called the Justice and Development Party on behalf of the party you established. Neither justice nor development has been achieved. I only invite the President to listen to what he said 18 years ago.”
Reminding the Central and Bank's reserves in January and May, Karamollaoğlu said, “In January, the Central Bank's international reserves were $ 37.2 billion. $ 19 billion of it was taken as a loan. 18 billion dollars is the Central Bank's own money. In total, $ 37 billion. By May, the debt received through swaps as a result of some agreements suddenly sprang up to $ 51.9 billion. 32.3 billion dollars obtained from international reserves. The difference is that there was a $ 18 billion surplus in the past, but today there is a negative $ 19.6 billion. Turkey received $ 51 billion in swaps was taken across this money minus the remaining mortgage the future of 19.6 billion dollars. That means we went bankrupt. (Central Bank) there is money, but swap money”.
