Saadet Party General Chairman Temel Karamollaoğlu, who spoke at a regular weekly press conference, stated that they handed over lists of candidates for local elections to YSK.
"We are the only party that goes to the elections with its candidates in the 1.389 municipalities. This has been an answer to slap some of the allegations against us," Karamollaoglu said.
Stating that there is great excitement in the programs they perform within the scope of local elections, Karamollaoğlu said, "Those who see our enthusiasm show the respect of the citizens against us further increase the smear campaigns," he said.
Karamollaoğlu pointed out that the government was pressured by its rulers, "If the government sees a failure in the elections, they will change their policies. It does not use state facilities to go over other parties or to win the election. If this is the way, it shows that the government's policies have gone bankrupt. This election will be the biggest warning to AKP," he added.
Karamollaoğlu stated that they had submitted their lists of candidates for the local elections to the Supreme Board of Elections, and added: "We are the only party in the 1.389 municipalities who entered the elections with their own candidates. This has been a response to those who have made some claims to us. If they still don't understand, they're either scarce or they're trying to make a different goal through these claims. Political parties can make alliances. However, it is a planned operation to show us in an alliance despite the fact that we are saying."
Stating that there is a great excitement in the programs they perform within the scope of local elections, Karamollaoğlu said, "Those who see our enthusiasm against us on the top of our citizens increase their smear campaigns. However, this campaign does not disturb our morale. Because we know that the country should get rid of this trend and that it cannot get out of this despair. The citizen also sees this and shows us the favor."
