Felicity (Saadet) Party President Temel Karamollaoğlu, in a video press conference, "they appreciate Turkey's seas and finding natural gas reserves make exploration and drilling in the Black Sea with their own ships," he said.
Pointing out that figures such as falling exports in the economy, increasing domestic and foreign debt, foreign trade deficit and unemployment are important problems, Karamollaoğlu also touched on the developments in the Eastern Mediterranean.
Karamollaoğlu said, “We support the steps taken by the government in the Mediterranean. We do not compromise our rights. We do not take a step back from the legitimate steps we take. At this point, we have to support the government against the outside.”
Evaluating the latest economic data announced, Karamollaoğlu said, “I am telling the TURKSTAT data; Turkey's economy contracted by 9.9 percent in the second quarter. They could not say 10 because when you say 10, it will be said that it is two numbers, so they narrowly saved the single number. The meaning of this is that the national income per capita in 2013 was 12 thousand 400 dollars, today it has decreased to 8 thousand 900 dollars. Turkey is shrinking. The economy is shrinking. Problems are increasing. You cannot overcome the damage you caused to the nation by saying that we found gas, the whole problem is solved. You cannot convince the nation because everybody knows that you live. That's why I am saying very clearly; In words, the cheese ship does not work. No matter how much you say, you cannot afford this ship anymore.”
"WE SHOULD NOT TAKE A STEP BACK FROM OUR LEGITIMATE RIGHTS"
Speaking about the tensions in the Mediterranean, Karamollaoğlu said, "We closely follow the rising tension in the Mediterranean. We support the government's determination on these issues. We do not compromise our rights. We do not and should not back down from the legitimate steps we have taken. At this point, we support the power against the outside," he said.
