Chairman of the Felicity (Saadet) Party Temel Karamollaoğlu, Minister of National Defense Hulusi Akar, Qatar's Ambassador to Ankara Sheikh Mohammed bin Nasser bin Jassim Al Sani, as well as ambassadors of many countries, military attachés and politicians attend the reception held at the J.W.Marriott Hotel on the occasion of the Qatar National Day. Karamollaoğlu is accompanied by Vice Presidents Mustafa Kaya and Cafer Güneş at the reception.

Speaking at the reception, Minister of National Defense Hulusi Akar stated that he enjoys to be present on this important and meaningful day of friendly and brotherly Qatar and said, “There are various activities that Qatar and Turkey are doing within the framework of historical, cultural and common values. We further strengthened the existing brotherhood between the two countries through military, political, economic, cultural and social studies. The strength of the relations between the two countries has been revealed and seen much more clearly after various events. We have faced these difficulties together as one heart, united in grief and joy in various ways. Our sincere, friendly and brotherly relations continue intensely.”
AMBASSADOR EL SANI: “WE WILL NOT ABSTAIN WORKING FOR THE INTERESTS OF THE TWO COUNTRIES”
Making the opening speech of the reception, Qatar's Ambassador to Ankara Al Sani said, "We are celebrating this beautiful day with our family and brothers in Turkey, which we love as our second country and to which we are connected by the strongest and solidest ties at all levels. It is no secret that the bilateral relations between Qatar and Turkey are different and this reflects on all sectors and fields between the two countries. This difference of relations is also reflected in politics, which led to great harmony and joint cooperation, and reached consensus on many political, regional and international issues.”
Noting that he will not hesitate to bring Turkey and Qatar even closer and to work for the interests of the peoples of the two countries, Al Sani wished greater rapprochement, security, development and stability for his country and Turkey.
