Organized by ESAM, 'National Value National Future Sugar Summit' was held in Ankara with a wide participation. Representatives of all political parties except the AK Party and the MHP joined under the roof of the "Presidential Alliance" where the 14 sugar factories that were privatized were put on the table attended.

Recai Kutan, chairman of the Center for Economic and Social Research, who made the opening speech of the Sugar Summit, stated that by its peak, it intends to study sugar in its entirety in a purely scientific way and stated that the privatization of sugar factories can not be regarded as a simple privatization.

"Where there are beets, animal husbandry has developed there," Saadet Party Chairman Temel Karamollaoğlu said: "We pay billions of dollars and we import animals. We are importing straw with meat not yet. They all come and stick to the pancakes. Beet, which is such an effective sector, should not be left to chance. The sale of sugar factories is a serious problem. Even the beet air cleans. If the government does not show sensitivity to this issue, if the privatization is done, the farmer will hit the last blow. If the sugar factories are privatized, unemployment will be burdened."

SUGAR IS AN IMPORTANT PRODUCT OF TURKISH AGRICULTURE

Recai Kutan, chairman of the Center for Economic and Social Research, who made the opening speech of the Sugar Summit, stated that by its peak, it intends to study sugar in its entirety in a purely scientific way and stated that the privatization of sugar factories can not be regarded as a simple privatization. According to data from the World Food Organization Turkey's sugar beet production in the world in the 6th Kuta reminded that, "It is evident that the beet is an important product of Turkish agriculture. Beet farming is important for our farmers. The added value is high. In addition almost everything is evaluated. The pus is used as a cheap animal feed with age and molasses, and it is also important for animal husbandry. Besides these, sugar beets are also an environmentalist plant."

NATIONAL BENEFITS HAVE TO BE POSSIBLE WITH A POLICY

citizens not only in the regions where no issues of privatization of factories, Kutan said that the whole of Turkey is concerned, "it cost the country in case of privatization of the factory would be too heavy. If TEKEL is privatized and tobacco is destroyed and sugar factories are sold, we lose our strategic product, beet. The end of privatization of sugar factories Many families from the East and Southeast will have to migrate to big cities and these families will fall into misery. This is wrong, the policies against the national interests should be abandoned as soon as possible." he said.

WE ARE SEEING AS A SIMPLE PRIVATIZATION!

National Salvation Party and the Welfare Party in farmers' income of emphasis opened to increase the sugar mills in East and Southeast Kutan said: "There are 110 thousand families that live with beets in Turkey. Sugar beet farming and sugar production since 1926 is indispensable for the cultivation of our country. The 14 factories to be privatized are purchasing beet from 575 villages. These factories are purchasing sugar beet from 47 thousand 758 farmers who produce 1.25 million decare land. In these 14 factories, more than 4 thousand employees are processing 7 million tons of sugar beets and 947 thousand tons of sugar, 322 thousand melas, 2 million 74 thousand tons of wet pulp are produced. It is seen that beet sugar production is not just a food-only sector. It is an integrated production that covers many sectors. For this reason, we can not look at the privatization of sugar factories as a simple privatization event."

370 THOUSAND FARMERS ARE UNEMPLOYED

Saadet Party Chairman Temel Karamollaoğlu 'Sugar Summit in his speech, emphasizing the importance of sugar is important, "There are many issues in the face of our country. One of them is unemployment. If the sugar factories become privatized, unemployment will increase some more. The population working in the sugar factories is not very large, but the number of people who make a living from the bean is quite high. The land that was planted 20 years ago was 500 thousand hectares, and the number of people working here was around 492 thousand. Today the land plunged to the bottom of tomorrow, the working population fell below one in four, that is 120 thousand thousand. About 370,000 farmers were unemployed in 20 years. Because of the quota, sugar production was shortened. Exports increase as the quota increases. How much sugar is falling EEA price in Turkey. Without knowing this, it is not right to pursue a candy policy without following it. There are currently 3 million unemployed people in Turkey. When the soil was not planted, besides unemployment, internal migration began in our country. People have to migrate when they can not earn their living from the soil they live in. The number of migrants from east to west within 3 years is around 3 million. This is a very serious figure." he said.
