Istanbul Platform's guest this month was Saadet Party Chairman Temel Karamollaoğlu. The Istanbul Platform, chaired by Justice Minister İsmail Müftüoğlu, hosted the Chairman of the Felicity Party Temel Karamollaoğlu at his November meeting in Üsküdar. Karamollaoğlu, Saadet Party Deputy Chairman Mustafa Kaya and Felicity Party Istanbul Province President Abdullah Sevim accompanied. The program started with the introduction of food and catering and continued with the reading of Temel Karamollaoğlu's biography.

ETHICS AND SPIRITUALITY IN POLITICS

In his opening speech, İsmail Müftüoğlu, President of the Istanbul Platform, said, "I would like to thank Temel Karamollaoğlu for celebrating our November meeting of the Istanbul Platform, which is a 14-year platform. We fought with him for many years. On this platform, we hosted many names from politics and academia community. We hosted Ahmet Davutoğlu last month. Next month we will host Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu. Through these programs, we try to get to know our politicians more closely. In politics, of course, I think that there must be ahlak morality and spirituality first. If this is our first priority, there will be love, fertility, peace and development in society. Today, we will have the opportunity to listen to the political thoughts of Temel Karamollaoğlu."

POLARIZING THE MOST IMPORTANT PROBLEM OF OUR POLITICS

President of the Felicity Party Temel Karamollaoğlu started his speech by greeting the participants; "If we want peace and tranquility in the world, we must first create this environment in our own country. I regret to say that unfortunately in our own country, unrest and blind fight prevail. Our people cannot think, instead of listening to their interlocutors, they prefer to silence them. The most important problem of our politics is polarization. Polarization is seen as the shortest way to succeed in future elections. No party is an enemy of the other, but an opponent at all."

OUR BASIC PRINCIPLE IS TO DEVELOP WITH PRODUCING

Karamollaoğlu pointed out the shortcomings of the government in education, health, retirement and minimum wage; "The minimum wage is brought under the hunger limit every year. The development of the economy is provided by the increase in minimum wages. Citizens need to get good wages for spending money. They have always carried out the management of economy and industry with perception. They sold the savings of the last 90 years, instead of factories, shopping centers were established. We will keep up with the technology and give weight to the industry, especially to the heavy industry. Our basic principle is to develop by producing and developing our country".

After his speech, Karamollaoğlu answered the questions of the participants. The program ended with the gift presented to Karamollaoğlu.

Describing the importance of the Islamic religion to justice, Karamollaoğlu said, "I am a faithful person. Not an Islamist, I am a Muslim. The Islamist is an external term, not a term produced in our civilization. It is the one who organizes Muslim life according to Islamic principles. My faith orders me justice first. The establishment of justice in a country is the number one issue of that country. As Omar (r.a.) commanded, "The religion of the state is justice". On the other hand, merit is a matter that should be prioritized so that all institutions of the state can be productive and managers should be troubled by the citizens' problems. People should be brought to a position according to their skills. Their closeness with managers should be the last thing to consider. It is not possible to solve the problems of the country without achieving merit."
