Saadet leader Karamollaoğlu gave a strong answer. Over Erdogan's definition Karamollaoglu "Their knees are shaking. He was fasting till yesterday," he reacted.

Karamollaoğlu stated that they had submitted their lists of candidates for the local elections to the Supreme Board of Elections (YSK), and said, "We are the only party with 1389 municipalities candidates that goes to the elections with our own candidates.
This has been a response to those who have made some claims to us. If they still don't understand, they're either scared of understanding, or they're trying to do something else through these claims. Political parties can make alliances. However, it is a planned operation to show us in an alliance despite the fact that we are saying, Karamollaoglu said.
Karamollaoğlu pointed out that the ruling party was under pressure due to their candidates and said, "AKP is implementing the one-party-period practices it criticizes. If the government sees a failure in the elections, they will change their policies. It does not use the means of state to go over other parties or to win the election. If this is the way, it shows that the government's policies have gone bankrupt. They fear they're going away from power. But fear doesn't help. These local elections will be the first step in the rule of Saadet," he added.
