TURHAN: "PERSECUTION HAS HAPPENED IN KASHMIR FOR LONG YEARS"
Delivering the opening speech of the International Kashmir Conference, AGD-MGV Chairman Salih Turhan said, “Every region where imperialism lands becomes a place of deadlock, instability, tears and pain. Kashmir, which is one of the bleeding wounds of the Islamic geography, has been persecuted for a long time. The Kashmir issue is as important as the Palestine issue for the Ummah of Muhammad. Atrocities have continued in Kashmir since 1948. During this historic struggle, the brave and determined people of Kashmir have made unprecedented and unimaginable sacrifices. To date, more than 100 thousand of our brothers have lost their lives for this cause, more than 10 thousand people are missing, and there is no information on whether the missing are alive or not.”
"ALL RESPONSIBILITY OF KASHMIR IS ON MUSLIMS"
Noting that the people of Kashmir expect the ummah to take care of them, “The people of Kashmir expect the ummah to take care of them and save them from the oppression of India. In Jammu and Kashmir under Indian occupation, many difficulties have been put forward to restrict the lives of Muslims and to fulfill their worship. Kashmir issue is a responsibility on all Muslims,” Turhan added.
KAYA: BOTH KASHMIR AND PALESTINE HAVE BEEN EXPERIENCING THIS OPPRESSION FOR YEARS
Felicity (Saadet) Party Deputy Chairman Mustafa Kaya, who made a speech with a greeting, said, “When Palestine is mentioned, Kashmir should be mentioned, and when Kashmir is mentioned, Palestine should also be mentioned. Both are countries that have been under persecution for years. We know that we all have responsibilities in solving the problems in these countries, countries that are under oppression in the Islamic geography. When we say Kashmir, we mean a beautiful geography, we talk about a country where people are under pressure, under the oppression of India. It is not even possible to imagine the persecutions and troubles experienced there. Unfortunately, we see this situation not only in Kashmir and Palestine, but also in many different geographies. May Allah help us to save the people living there and those people from these oppressions. May Allah grant us a will that will take the hand of the oppressed and lift it up."
PAKISTAN CONSUL: “KASHMIR IS NOT JUST A LAND ISSUE”
Pakistani Consul Danish Mehmood thanked the participants and the organizations that organized the program and said, “It is a great pleasure for me to be here with you. Kashmir is not just a land issue, it's not an issue that concerns just the people there," he said.
