Republican People's Party (CHP) Chairman Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu evaluated the declaration of 10 ambassadors as "persona non grata" as a state cannot be handed over to one person's word, while Nationalist Movement Party (MHP) Chairman Devlet Bahçeli stated that Kavala is a questionable person and argued that he should be stripped of his citizenship.
CHP and MHP held their weekly group meetings in the Turkish Grand National Assembly. While CHP Chairman Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu harshly criticized the government, MHP Chairman Devlet Bahçeli gave wide coverage to the Osman Kavala issue in his speech.
“WHY DID YOU SURVIVE THE STATE TO FOREIGN FORCES?”
CHP leader Kılıçdaroğlu, referring to the developments in the economy, "I would like to ask the citizens who voted for the AK Party and MHP. Who brought this country to this state? If they say foreign powers, then foreign powers have been ruling our country for 20 years? If foreign powers rule, Sir, then what are you doing in the Palace? Why did you hand over the state to foreign powers? You do not rule and you have prepared Turkey for disaster. Electricity increased 3 times, natural gas 8 times, domestic coal 30 percent, gasoline 10 times in a year, diesel 9 times in a year. Look, there is no food or drink included in this figures. These are the things people has to use in daily life," he said.
Kılıçdaroğlu criticizing President Erdoğan's statement, 'There is a car in every house, there is a car at the doorman', he said. "Do you know how much the minimum wage is? Do you know how those people lived? If you don't know, see Güngören there, it is one of the places where you get the most votes. They can't manage the state, they don't manage anyway, they don't have such a problem. If you saw the state as an organ to be robbed, you wouldn't rule it. I wonder if that person knows that there is a phrase called quality of life?"
"REMOVE HIS CITIZENSHIP"
MHP Chairman Devlet Bahceli touched upon the system debate and stated that the discussions in question were black propaganda. Renewing their support for the Presidential Government System, Bahçeli stated that those who want a strengthened parliamentary system are after a rematch.
Bahceli, who blamed CHP Chairman Kılıçdaroğlu, then referred to the ongoing discussions on Osman Kavala, "Kavala is a suspicious and questionable person. The Constitutional Court has become such that wherever there are traitors and marauders, it is side by side with them… Our suggestion regarding Kavala is this. If the court of this Soros supporter is decided and sentenced, it is a national necessity that he first serve his sentence in Turkey and then be stripped of his citizenship and sent one of the 10 ambassadors to his country," he said.
