Organized under the leadership of the Presidency for Turks Abroad and Related Communities (YTB), the program was held with the participation of YTB President Abdullah Eren and Kazakhstan's Ankara Ambassador Abzal Saparbekuly.

In the breakfast program held in Ankara, messages of friendship and unity were given regarding the uprising in Kazakhstan.

Abzal Saparbekuly, the Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Ankara, who stated that the terrorists were active in the events in Kazakhstan, and on January 5, we saw that the provocateurs and terrorists started to do their own thing.

Abzal Saparbekuly, Kazakhstan's Ambassador to Ankara, who spoke in the program, conveyed information about the events in Kazakhstan, and stated that the protests turned into a major attack by provocateurs and armed terrorists.

"On January 5, we saw that the provocateurs, who got involved in these protesters at work, started to do their own thing. Among these provocateurs, there were dimensions that provoked both looters, bandits and normal citizens. Most importantly, there were terrorist groups among them. We saw that those who committed sabotage actions were at work in these actions. Of course, by the way, we lost 8 young soldiers on January 5th. This necessitated a different intervention by our President. A state of emergency was declared in many places that day. Then a state of emergency was declared across the country. On January 5, this crowd headed to the governor's office, and the building was tried to be raided," he said.

“WE HAVE SEEN TERRORISTS IN ACTION IN KAZAKHSTAN”

Stating that what happened in Kazakhstan was caused by extremist terrorist groups, Saparbekuly emphasized that armed terrorist organizations weakened in the face of peace forces.

"Terrorist and armed groups simultaneously carried out armed attacks at many points in Almaty. These are not something any protester can do, they are really premeditated, simultaneous armed terrorist attacks. This situation created a risky situation for Kazakhstan. The city of Almaty was almost spiraling out of control. Especially leaving the National Intelligence Organization of the region unarmed was a big problem. The President took the most critical decision here, and called for peacekeepers. The first supports of the peacekeeping force began to arrive. This was a breaking point even before the support came. If the decision of the peacekeeping force had not been taken, it was highly likely that the city of Almaty would fall into the hands of terrorists. What was done was not something a few bandits would do. It showed that extremist terrorist groups in the region are at work. We saw that the groups were communicating with each other where the internet and electricity connections were cut off," he added.

“NEW INSTRUCTIONS WERE GIVEN AGAINST WHAT HAPPENED”

Stating that new instructions were given after the events, Saparbekuly said, "These events were very tragic for us. Young soldiers, families, children, all of this is a great pain for the family, for the relative. Yesterday, the President announced what Kazakhstan will do next. He stated that primarily they will work to learn the truth of the events, and that the investigation team will carry out a careful study. Meanwhile, 9 provinces in total fell into the hands of these groups and were plundered. Here we need to understand our greatest weakness. In this respect, some instructions were given in the coming period. In general, instructions were given to increase the defense power of Kazakhstan. In another sense, new decisions were taken regarding solutions to social and economic problems. Unfortunately, during this period, many oligarchic structures were formed in Kazakhstan."

"YOU ARE THE FUTURE OF KAZAKHSTAN"

Making a speech in the program, YTB President Abdullah Eren underlined that Kazakhstan is an important country for Turkey, "With YTB scholarships, more than 2,000 Kazakhstani students have graduated from studying in Turkey so far. Currently, 505 students continue their education in Turkey. We organized this organization to show that we are with you against the events in Kazakhstan in recent days. You are the future of Kazakhstan. As YTB, we are always with Kazakhstan," he said.
