Republican People’s Party (CHP) Chairman Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu met with the Ankara representatives of the newspapers and made evaluations about the developments on the agenda. At the meeting attended by Ankara Representative Mustafa Yılmaz from our newspaper, Kılıçdaroğlu stated that the leaders of the Six Opposition Parties will come together again on December 26. Kılıçdaroğlu said, “Until now, the candidate issue has never been discussed. We want to change the system, not the name. What happens Ali comes or Veli comes if the system does not change. When the system does not change, will another one man replace one man?” Kılıçdaroğlu made evaluations on the issues on the agenda of the Six Opposition Parties and said, “Two issues are currently being worked on. First, the government program is being studied. It's largely over. There is a team under the vice presidents. Those that cannot be agreed are written in red letters. It's all over this week. We will share it with the public when it is finished. The government program should come out first.” Kılıçdaroğlu stated that ‘Which candidate’ is very strange question and said, “If there is a one-man government, it will be an arbitrary administration. It is necessary to save the state from arbitrary administration. But no names were mentioned on the table, on a person-to-person basis. The person with the qualifications will put his egos aside and make an effort to move to a strengthened parliamentary system.”

'THE MINISTRY OF TREASURY DOESN'T KNOW'

Responding to the questions about the minimum wage on the agenda, Kılıçdaroğlu stated that they did not find it correct to measure the hunger limit in determining the minimum wage and said, “We want the current wage to be 10,128 Turkish Liras (TL), which includes both growth figures and inflation figures.” Kılıçdaroğlu stated that although there is an important expectation in the society, the Ministries work in isolation from each other on the issue of Retirement Age Victims (EYT), “The Ministry of Treasury is not aware of the work done by the Ministry of Labor. If there is a one-man government, these disconnections arise. Bureaucrats need to come together first. But there are no qualified people, bureaucrats left in the state. We are wondering what kind of solution they will come up with,” he added.
