Reminding that it is the 39th anniversary of the establishment of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC), Kılıçdaroğlu said that as the CHP Group, they send love and respect to their compatriots in the TRNC and celebrate their holidays. Expressing that the TRNC continues on its way by getting stronger, Kılıçdaroğlu said, “I commemorate the late Bülent Ecevit, Necmettin Erbakan, Fazıl Küçük and Rauf Denktaş with love and respect, and bow before their cherished memories.” Kılıçdaroğlu emphasized that he is very happy that the TRNC was present as an observer at the summit meeting of the Organization of Turkish States in Samarkand, and that he wanted this situation to prepare an environment for the removal of all obstacles in front of the TRNC in the future. Kılıçdaroğlu noted that it is a debt of heart to thank everyone who made an effort in this process. Kılıçdaroğlu stated that politics is not a means of getting rich and bringing relatives to the key points of the state, and he told he was trying to cooperate with the weakest circles of the society and to fix the problems as long as he is the chairman until today. Stating that “Mr. Kemal will solve” the problems of seasonal workers working in Rize, Kılıçdaroğlu said, “People of Rize may have forgotten, but Mr. Kemal will never forget. I will burn the smuggled teas in Rize Square.”

“WHY IS THIS MONEY NOT GIVEN”

Kılıçdaroğlu, who asked the citizens to cast their votes for the one who solved the problems, stated that they would also deal with the problems of the forest villagers, would make a special statement on this issue and list their promises one by one. Kılıçdaroğlu also said that they will abolish the stamp tax for wage earners and make regulations on income tax. Claiming that “those who lost an eye in the conflict, lived with a piece of shrapnel, and those whose fingers were cut off are not considered veterans,” Kılıçdaroğlu added: “If his nail is injured on July 15, we count him as a veteran. A respectable state does not accept double standards. You feed 6 million refugees, but you don't count 20,000 people as veterans. ‘Count us veterans, when we die, bury us with our flag, let us die with our flag,’ they say. ‘Yes, we went, we fought, we were injured. Why don't you consider us veterans?’ We will all dwell on this. At the same time, we have one more fundamental problem; discrimination between relatives of martyrs and veterans. For Almighty God's sake, is there any discrimination among the relatives of martyrs? Is there discrimination among veterans? If you discriminate among martyrs, excuse me, those who discriminate are not patriotic. I'm saying it so clearly.” Kılıçdaroğlu stated that the payment of 2 thousand 600 Turkish Liras (TL) for the martyrs and veterans of July 15 was increased to 4 thousand TL, and asked, “Well, why is this money not given for other martyrs' relatives and veterans?” Kılıçdaroğlu said that since August last year, they have been exposed to all kinds of insults and blasphemy because they have hung banners with the words “Border is honor” both at the headquarters and at the provincial and district presidencies, and that they were reacted by saying, “Why are you doing this?” Reminding that the government is unaware of the border, Kılıçdaroğlu said, “They do not know what the border is. The only thing that determines their limit, their flexible limit is the money given by the feeders. Border is honor, it is the honor of a state. All those who have served in the military know that when they go to the border, they see this sign there.”
