A press statement regarding Turkey's agenda came from Felicity (Saadet) Party Deputy Chairman Şerafettin Kılıç. Evaluating the agenda at the press conference held at the Izmir Provincial Presidency of the Saadet Party, Şerafettin Kılıç pointed to the level at which the purchasing power of households has decreased. Şerafettin Kılıç, who warned the authorities and citizens against hyper-inflation, also reminded us of the wasteful projects.
“BANKS SMILE; CITIZENS CAN NOT”
Saadet Party Deputy Chairman Şerafettin Kılıç stated that the government is in a strange and empty economy without a scientific axis and said, “There is no economic model with economic value. The only visible thing is the wrong policies that have no logic, have no equivalent in economics, and are implemented in a senseless way. What happens as a result of this? An economy whose balances and mechanisms are upside down. Crazy price hikes. The terrible meltdown in revenues. The cost of living and financial difficulties consume our citizens. An unprecedented economic picture in the history of the Republic. On the other hand, the profits of banks in this period increased by 323 percent compared to the previous year, from 9 billion Turkish Liras (TL) to 39 billion TL. The government, which creates an atmosphere of acting with a religious motivation by saying 'interest is the reason, inflation is the result', made the banks smile, not the citizens.”
“YOU GIVE IMPOSSIBLE NUMBERS AS A WARRANTY?”
Stating that the citizens who do not cross the bridge will also pay for the Çanakkale Bridge, for which the Treasury guarantees 45,000 vehicles per day to the contractor company, by using the phrases, “Why does the government make its people pay for the bridge that they did not cross in such a severe economic crisis? Why will our citizens, who have become even able to calculate their bread money, pay for the bridge in Çanakkale? Paying taxes has never been difficult for our nation. However, what goes into our difficulties is that; Why you put the profits of the contractors on the neck of the nation in the facilities guaranteed by the Treasury, which we do not pass or use? Why do you guarantee impossible figures to the contractors when constructing these facilities?” Şerafettin Kılıç added.
“WE ARE HERE TO END THE UNFAIR ORDER”
Şerafettin Kılıç, emphasizing that the TL has turned into a stamp against foreign currencies and that the prices have increased at a rapid pace, said, “We are the second in the world in inflation. Zimbabwe is the first in the world. It is also one of the poorest countries in Africa. This is the only country in the world that has higher inflation than us. They have an inflation rate of 72 percent. In this case, there is nothing left for us to catch them. This is an exemplary scene. It is nothing but a declaration that the economic administration has hit rock bottom. As the Saadet Party, we are ready to be a safe harbor at the point where our people lose their hope for the future. Turkey is going from high inflation to hyperinflation, and the people's share is becoming poorer. To produce permanent solutions to all the problems of our country, to grow the bread on the table, to improve the industry and we are here to revive the economy and put an end to this unjust order.”
