Following the start of the new legislative period in the Turkish Grand National Assembly (TBMM), political parties started weekly group meetings.
CHP Chairman Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu harshly criticized the government at the group meeting.
“I CONGRATULATED ALİ YERLİKAYA”
Condemning the terrorist attack against the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Kılıçdaroğlu stated that he called the Minister of Internal Affairs, Ali Yerlikaya, to wish him a speedy recovery and said, "I conveyed my congratulations to the Minister of Internal Affairs for his fight against drug barons and gangs."
Kılıçdaroğlu, regarding the strategies of the new legislative period, "I hope that this legislative period will be beneficial for our country and our people. I want everyone to be sure of this; As CHP, we will stand by everyone who walks the road for justice, wants justice and wants peace, regardless of their opinion, identity and belief. There is no separation between us, we want justice under this roof," he added.
“ERDOĞAN DOES NOT WANT A REAL CIVIL CONSTITUTION”
Referring to the discussions on the new constitution, Kılıçdaroğlu said, "Prisons were filled because he expressed his opinion. The journalist opens his mouth right inside, the citizen opens his mouth right inside. If someone is in prison because he used the right given to him by the constitution, it means the constitution is suspended. Why are the intellectuals inside? Because they expressed their thoughts. Erdogan does not want a truly civilian constitution. We are not people who act unconditionally in front of you. We come from a political tradition that uses our minds. We are not the Nationalist Movement Party."
