According to Jordan’s official Petra news agency, Jordanian King Abdullah II will visit the Russian capital on Wednesday to hold talks with Russian President Vladimir Putin.

According to Jordan’s official Petra news agency, Jordanian King Abdullah II will visit the Russian capital on Wednesday to hold talks with Russian President Vladimir Putin. The two leaders are expected to discuss bilateral relations and recent developments on the regional and international levels, according to Petra.
 
"Talks will focus on recent developments in the Middle East -- especially in Syria and the peace process there -- and the international fight against terrorism," the news agency reported. It did not say how long King Abdullah planned to stay in Moscow.
 
In a statement, the Kremlin confirmed that Abdullah and Putin planned to discuss means of combatting terrorism in the Middle East and North Africa. According to the same statement, the two leaders will also discuss means of improving Russian-Jordanian economic cooperation.
