“WE ARE AGAINST THE RELIGIOUS SERVICE IDEA LIMITED TO THE MOSQUES”
Küçükçekmece District Mufti Hasan Hüseyin Palabıyık, who made special statements to the Milli Gazete during the visit, said, “We are trying to carry out many activities, especially the Qur'an course, mosque services, youth work. As we serve in mosques, we try to bring our youth and children together with the Qur'an. In this context, we have activated 3 youth centers in the last two years. We have been trying to visit our tradesmen since the day we took office. It is difficult to say that we touched every tradesman in Küçükçekmece, but at this point, we touched more than 30,000 citizens. We just go and greet our shopkeepers. Some of our shopkeepers find it strange when we visit without any reason and expectation. But we are against an understanding of religious service confined to mosques.”
