The Kuwaiti authorities on Wednesday executed seven people convicted on various criminal charges, the official Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) has reported. The seven included two Kuwaiti and two Egyptian nationals, along with a Bangladeshi, a Filipino and an Ethiopian, according to a public prosecution official quoted by KUNA.
One of the two Kuwaiti nationals -- Prince Faisal Abdullah al-Jaber al-Sabah -- had been a member of the country’s ruling family who was convicted of murdering his nephew in 2010. Wednesday’s raft of executions was approved by Kuwaiti Emir Sabah al-Ahmad al-Jaber al-Sabah.
