"Memur-Sen" labour union Deputy Chairman and "Enerji Bir-Sen" union Chairman Hacı Bayram Tonbul attended the 8th Ordinary Congress of the Albanian Independent Miners' Union (SPMSH), affiliated to the Albanian Independent Trade Union Union (BSPHS).
While representatives from international labor organizations were present at the congress held in Albania, the call for a common struggle came to the fore.
Delivering a speech at the congress on behalf of the union, Tonbul pointed out that BSPHS, which was established in 1991, is a prominent example in union organizations with its labor struggle in the past.
"Your actions played an important role in the overthrow of the oppressive regime and the establishment of a free Albania in its place. Your determination has changed the fate of a country. This struggle stands in a special place not only for Albania, but also for all trade union organizations in the world, for those who struggle for labor. That struggle, which seems to be a thing of the past for you, keeps alive the belief that union unity and determination can overcome oppression and tyranny," he said.
A CALL FOR SOLIDARITY TO INTERNATIONAL WORK ORGANIZATIONS
Pointing out that labor, production and value are not seen as essential elements in the current order, Tonbul emphasized that the culture of sharing is also disabled.
"As the Memur-Sen family, we place labor at the center of solidarity, on the basis of value. For us, protecting the rights of the workers means protecting the rights of all humanity. Memur-Sen, Turkey's largest confederation, is a labor organization that prefers solidarity and social dialogue. For this reason, I would like to announce here that all national and international labor organizations should call for solidarity and social dialogue, not discrimination," he added.
“WE ARE OBLIGED TO FIGHT AGAINST THE UNJUSTIFIED ORDER IN THE SAME POSITION”
Stating that the world is in the throes of global change, Tonbul emphasized that all labor organizations should act together against this crisis of change.
"As Memur-Sen, 'Our perspective on the world may be different, but our pain is the same. Our eye color may be different, but the color of tears is the same everywhere in the world. All the workers and workers of the world have to fight in the same position against this unjust order that makes the rich richer and the poor poorer," he stated.
