The political party leaders participated in the 19 May Atatürk Commemoration, Youth and Sports Day over 100th Year Ceremonies held at the Tobacco Pier (Tütün İskelesi) due to the 100th anniversary of Gazi Mustafa Kemal Atatürk's launch to Samsun on 19 May 1919 to start the National Struggle.
Political party leaders met at the 100th anniversary celebrations attended by citizens. National Struggle spirit was strengthened again after 100 years. The program was attended by President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, President of the Parliament Mustafa Şentop, General Chairman of the Saadet Party Temel Karamollaoğlu, CHP Chairman Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu and MHP President Devlet Bahceli.
