CLIMATE CHANGES TRIGGER DROUGHT
Stating that there has been a significant decrease in the occupancy rates in the dams across the country in recent months due to changes in climatic conditions, seasonal drought and increased water consumption during the pandemic process, Öztürk said, “Our water resources are running out due to climatic changes and waste. It is not enough to know that water is indispensable for life; it is necessary to use and protect it correctly. We should not consume our future.”
40 PERCENT OF THE WORLD WILL NOT REACH WATER IN 2050
Indicating that 40 of the world's population will live under severe water stress in 2050, Öztürk said, “Water that is vital for all living things; We have to use it correctly, adequately and consciously and protect it. At this point, all of us must fulfill all our responsibilities to prevent water waste, and strive to create this awareness in the society. Let's not forget that our resources are limited and are entrusted to us as the future of our children. Let's protect our future together.”
